Margin Calculator
How much margin a trade locks at your leverage — for EURUSD, gold and other instruments. Helps you avoid opening a position that consumes all free margin.
Calculators use indicative values. Check live conditions in the broker's platform.
How to use it
Choose the instrument, volume and leverage. The result is the amount locked as collateral. Keep free margin above 50% of your balance, otherwise the first move against you triggers a margin call.
Frequently asked questions
How is margin different from risk?
Margin is collateral the broker locks for a position and returns when it closes. Risk is what you lose if the stop is hit. High leverage lowers margin, not risk.
What leverage is available?
